英语知识在数学中的应用
——仅限于一些基础符号

Introduction:
由于英语在中国教学是独立的学科,很少或几乎没有和其它学科有交叉使用的场景。同时,一些所谓双语学校也未能在教学过程中实施英语全科教学,而且英语教学中也不涉及到其它学科,因此英语的教学只局限于英语课堂上讲英语。
但英语是一门语言,语言能力的发展和语言素质的提高最终还是取决于语言的应用和实践。新的教学理念要求,要给英语教学注入“活水”,让学生主动地、积极地参与学习。用英语向学生教授数学知识,即学生在学习英语的同时,还要进行数学思维。通过双语教学为英语语言知识注入学科知识的动力,让学生把英语学习建立在学科知识的基础上,进一步拓展英语学习的空间,逐步培养学生用英语思维和表达的能力。同时,让学生感受外国先进的教学模式和理念,学习另外一种观察和认识世界的方法。
Goal:
英语知识在本节教学中的应用只涉及到几种简单的符号的应用。作为尝试只能作为活动课来完成,不适应英语整体教学,因此该活动课只是提高学生的学习兴趣。

Conclusion:
用英语向学生教授数学知识,使学生掌握常见的数学术语的英语词汇,能熟练认读出和说出,较大程度地增加英语词汇量,使学生初步形成用英语进行思维的能力。英语作为西方国语,此类的应用如汉语一样简单,但作为独立学科在中国应用几乎为空,不需要掌握,只求了解。
